Tournament Rules

Out of all the place on this website, this is the most important section you should read. These are the rules for the Tournament, gameplay, and matchups. The Tournament rules encompasses What is permitted and not permitted at each hosting location during tournament sessions, rules for engaging with other competitors and gaming stewards, housekeeping, being punctual for matchups, how to get disqualified before, during or after playing. It is important to read the rules of this tournament so that you 1 enjoy yourself and two not get disqualified. When purchasing an entry into the tournament, you agreed to abide by all rules set forth.

For Round 1 each matchup could last up to 1 hour and 25 minutes. That means you will need to block off at lease 2 hours in your schedule. 30 minutes for arriving and any traffic and gameplay.

  1. No Profanity towards ANY competitors or Gaming Steward! PROFANITY = IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION
  2. No violence towards ANY competitor or Gaming Steward! VIOLENCE = IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION
  3. Excessive Tardiness and holding other opponent up = STEWARD RESERVE the RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY YOU
  4. MUST stay for your ENTIRE series. Leaving early leads to disqualification
  5. Each round Cost money to enter. If you win the your a round you get to enter into the next round
  6. Entry price will decrease for each bracket zone from Starter -> Grind -> Clutch -> Prime -> Final
  7. Odd entries will play best loser
    • Best loser tie will be decided on the following:
      • Best series record
      • Average game points for entire series
      • Average allowed points for entire series
      • Highest final score for game final game of losing series
  8. Must not damage any equipment.

Things to do before arriving for your matchups

  1. Read the rules
  2. Make sure you have adequate time to stay the entire round.
  3. Check for Traffic updates before arriving at your hosting location.
  4. Bring a sweat towel
  5. Get some good rest
  6. Get some practice
  7. Use the bathroom before coming

Rules for Game play

  1. Depending on size of the bracket first several rounds will consist be best of 5
  2. First person to win the most of the series win the series and advances to the next round.
  3. Each game will be a total of 4 minutes.
  4. When individuals reaches the pinch zone of the bracket it will be the best of 3 and 1 minute will be added to each quarter
  5. When individuals reaches the clutch zone of the bracket it will be the best of 5 and 5 minutes for each quarter
  6. When individuals reaches the Prime zone of the bracket it will be the best of 5 and 6 minutes for each quarter
  7. For the last two individuals that reaches the final zone of the bracket it will be the best of 7 with 7 minutes each quarter.
  8. Game level will always be the highest for all bracket levels.
  9. No game slider modifications
  10. No pausing the game

Rules for Matchups

  1. During the course of the tournament users will be randomly matched up with opponents for the first round.
  2. For all matches opponents will play on the same screen and same console.
  3. Participants should show up 30 minutes early for their match.
  4. Failure to notify gaming stewarts of late arrival will lead to disqualification with no refund
  5. Depending on where you start in the bracket will decide who you play for next round.
  6. Wired controllers only
  7. Cannot change matchups
